We're all about the Application and SaaS business models and monetization mechanisms ranging from Freemium to Premium, IAP (in app purchases), Bundling, Customer Conversion Analytics - whatever it takes to actually get users (consumer and business) to pay for Apps!
We typically have two or three speakers, who share their software monetization and business model knowledge. They typically discuss Freemium pricing - where it works or where it doesn't. They may also discuss other revenue generating opportunities.
Our speakers come from many software/app/content environments including the Internet, SaaS, web, mobile, apps, and range from expert consultants, to founders, to startup CXOs, to executives in public companies. What matters is they have something valuable to share about getting over the "penny gap"! [If you don't know what the penny gap is, you will learn!]
We welcome the entrepreneur/founder/startup team member - come and network and share your pricing expertise, successes and failures.
We also welcome those of you from larger more established companies who are struggling (and perhaps succeeding) in the tectonic transition from licensed software to the subscription economy.
There are two hours of networking - one hour before the presentations and one hour afterwards, so you will have plenty of time to talk to other like-minded colleagues.
Freemium SF Bay Area Meetups are held each month, swapping between San Francisco (odd months) and Silicon Valley (even months).
