Freeside Braniacs - Fun with Neuroscience and Brain-Computer Interfaces
Details
Freeside Brainiacs looks at both the technology of brain-computer interfaces and the biology of how the brain works. We have a variety of biometrics tech including a Neurosky EEG, Emotiv EEG (if you can get it working), eye tracker, and Leap Motion.
Right now there's the there are two big ongoing projects, though we love it when people want to share their own projects or start a new one! The first project is a homebrew EEG using the TI (ADS 1299? Is that right?) chip. We're also trying to use a Neurosky EEG to control other electronics like LED strips.
On the biology side, we'll have a short presentation each month about whatever research has caught our eye lately. Anyone is free to request topics or talk about things they found, too.
