TIME: 7 to 9 pm
In conjunction with WCU?s Contemporary Issues Club, we?re hosting Michael Newdow at West Chester University, in the ?castle? building, 2nd floor. Mike Newdow is the guy who got angry that his young daughter was given grief over saying the pledge with ?under god? in it, and he?s since become quite an advocate for the separation of church and state. He will be talking about his lawsuits against the government, and his experiences with the US Supreme Court. Do you agree with his methods or do you think he goes too far? Do you wonder why he is so committed to this? Come meet him and find out why.
This is a free lecture and should be fascinating. For more info, www.ftsociety.org again. Or visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Newdow
. Flyer with full info pasted below. If you?re interested in more about the separation issue, visit www.au.org, which is the website of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State. It?s a group comprised of people of all faiths, and no faiths, who believe that true equality can only be achieved by following the dictates of the Constitution.
