Fremont Agile Meetup - Dislocated Agile
Details
One of the tenets of agile software development is the importance of collocation. Among its many virtues, collocation plays a pivotal role in streamlining team interactions, mitigating communication challenges, and is an instrumental component for fostering a real sense of team cohesion. But, until we live in a perfect world, we're likely to encounter projects for which collocation is impractical or impossible. What's an agilista to do?
Using real world scenarios, Uriah will kick off the discussion by describing some of the ways he's handled integrating Scrum with remote team members with both positive and sub-optimal results. This will be followed by an open forum where attendees can discuss experiences they've had and what they've done that works or doesn’t. The goal is to walk away with an outline of best practices and patterns.
