Combining journalism and literary writing isn’t easy, but Scott Thomas Anderson, a crime writer for the Roseville Press Tribune, manages to do it well.
He’ll be discussing "Penning Reality with a Pulse—Literary Journalism and Audacious Creative Nonfiction" at a meeting of Fremont Area Writers on Saturday, Nov. 23rd.
An award-winning reporter, he is the author of “Shadow People: How Meth-driven Crime is Eating at the Heart of Rural America,” an exploration of the nation’s methamphetamine problem. Anderson spent 18 months as an embedded reporter with California law enforcement agencies before writing his book.
