Most (but not ALL) cameras can display a chart called a histogram. The histogram is a GRAPH of brightness values in an image. The histogram is the most valuable guide to exposure ever offered to photographers, but only for photographers who understand it.
This meetup will offer a discussion and definition of the histogram. We will then shoot lots of images that will produce ordinary histograms and lots of images that produce extreme histograms. We will then discuss the significance of the histogram on YOUR CAMERA so you can understand the elements in YOUR photos that produced the shape of YOUR histogram.
Your take-away from this program will be a new level of understanding of what your histogram is telling you and how to implement its guidance.
Please note: There's no charge for the meeting, but donations are welcome to keep the meetings (and PG&E) going. Thanks for your concern and consideration.
If you sign up, please PROMPTLY CHANGE YOUR RSVP if your plans change. I shall drop members from the group who choose not to comply with this request.
