Photoshop Layers and Masks COPY

All:

This is a COPY of the June 12 meeting that filled fast, thanks.

The "magic" in Photoshop is in LAYERS.  Please see "donation" message at bottom.

Please remember to change your RSVP if your plans change after you sign up.

Layers allow photographers to do everything from huge overall changes to detailed tiny retouches to mixing two or three or four or MORE images into the same final composition.

Masks are associated with layers and act kinda sorta like STENCILS.  But they are adjustable and may be simple or as complex as the image itself.  You decide and build based on need.

Finally, there are adjustment layers. Almost all of the image adjustments in Photoshop can be applied NOT TO THE IMAGE but to a magical layer above the image.

We will cover these topics PLUS more on layers and layer relationships in this session.  LAPTOP WITH PHOTOSHOP INSTALLED HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. You may also use any photo editing program that uses layers.

If you sign up, please PROMPTLY CHANGE YOUR RSVP if your plans change. I shall drop members from the group who choose not to comply with this request.

Thanks,

Len

Please note: There's no charge for the meeting, but donations are welcome to keep the meetings (and PG&E) going. Thanks for your concern and consideration.

Excellent class. I need to rework the problems a number of times from my notes to better understand the material. However I have already started using some of the ideas

Len, real good class. Are you planning on doing it again any time other than next week.
