You wanted it.
But you were conflicted about it.
What did you finally decide to do?
What were the consequences???
Format review! 1. This is a TRUE story that *happened to you*. Your story has a BEGINNING and an ENDING. Maybe you learned a lesson. Or you changed.
Tell us what happened to you, and make sure we know what the point of your story is. Why do you want to tell us this story?
2. No Notes allowed.
3. Time limits. To help you not run over time - a visual timer and audio cue at 10 mins will be provided. You do not have to take up the whole 10 mins! In fact, we love short stories. More people get to tell. And some stories do take 10 mins.
Our awesome audience gives the storytellers a warm and supportive environment for sharing, and our storytellers support the audience by adhering to format and respecting time limits.
Advice to enhance the probability you'll get to tell your story: get here on time (or early!) - make sure your name is in the hat at the beginning of the event. We sometimes do not get to all of the stories - and we draw from names that were in the "hat" (pumpkin) by 7pm. We have a latecomer "hat" (large christmas ornament) that we draw from after that.
We are officially registered as a MothUP group with the Moth.
