What is your favorite genre of fiction? Can be more than one!

My favorite genre is fantasy and historical fantasy. I love sweeping epics with rich language. Juliet Marillier, Ann McCaffrey, and Stephen Lawhead are some favorites. But I do love a Well Written romance, too. I like Nora Roberts (natch!), Susan Wiggs, Judith Ivory, Linda Howard, Betina Krahn--oh, too many to remember. And I've found that I very much like mystery/thrillers by such writers as Lisa Jackson and Lisa Gardner.

How many books do you buy each month? Or acquire to read (swap, library, etc)

I used to buy lots! But once I decided to cleanup our space with an eye toward eventually moving my mother and myself into a retirement situation, I stopped buying print books (well, OK, not Entirely, I slip up once in a while...). But I am purchasing books from Amazon on my Kindle. Because I work full time, paint (digital art), And write, I don't read as much as I used to. But...I have been purchasing historical fantasy on my Kindle and enjoying those when I can. And I've been purchasing 'how to' books about online marketing, etc.

Do you have an eReader? Which one?

Kindle Fire...just got it for my 64th birthday. Love it. So many books on hand and I can carry it everywhere. And...ah, I discovered "Game of Thrones" and I've been downloading the videos. That series is like eating potato chips! Can't stop.

Do you prefer the West, East, or midcities area of the Metroplex for meetings?

Well, since I live in Plano, that section of the Metroplex is best for me. Also, because I work full time (until 6:00 every day), mid-week meetings would be too difficult. I wouldn't mind driving to perhaps the mid-cities for something really special (weekends only, of course).

What's your favorite tea room / shop / house or restaurant serving High Tea

I am absolutely open on this. I haven't done "High Tea", so must bow to the expertise of the group.

I live in Plano. Was in DARA about 15 yrs. Left it last year. I have 2 fantasy e-books (a duology), 1 self-pubbed romance and a 2nd ready to pub. I lovesocializing with readers and discussing books. This sounds like such a fun and interesting group!
