Special Tuesday Happy Hour for NEW MEMBERS!!!

Based on the feedback I have received, it sounds like some people like the idea of a Friday happy hour group, but are a little uneasy about coming to a large group for their first event.

So, every two or three weeks, we will have a smaller venue mid week for folks to have a bit more intimate setting. This should be easier for new members to get to know people and ease your way into the big Friday Happy hour.

For those of us who haven't been yet, the Pink Rose has an AMAZING happy hour that goes on all night on Tuesday.  We will be meeting in the actual bar (NOT the patio).  The bar is downstairs - just look for the stairwell immediately west of the water fountain on the corner of 13th and Lovejoy.

All new (and newer) members are invited and encouraged to attend. And, if we have a few 'regulars' come as well, that would be great too! Ideally, I will try to limit the number of participants to approximately 30, though, in order for the event to be smaller and less intimidating.

Hope to see you there!

Met some great people! Look forward to going again. Would like to see more guys... Was a bit more weighted to the females but met some great ladies too!

Guys, you're missing out! There are a lot of lovely ladies here, and the ladies outnumber the guys by more than a 2 to 1 margin right now.

Hi all! Really aiming to make this one! I'll probably be there closer to 6, but I'm looking forward to it.

So my $6billion question: What are you considering "professional" as criterion for the group? I am a highly regarded professional musician, music teacher, and conductor in my area of music and have travelled a lot in the last 10 years as a teacher, performer, lecturer --like a lot of musicians however prestige does not always equate to $$$ and I work a day clerical job to make ends meet.

Hi John. Good question. I would think musician, music teacher, and conductor counts as professional.

Comforting to know all that work was not for nothing. :-)

Which means I have just probably shot myself in the foot.

Not new to the Portland area, but very new to the singles scene. I am a bit socially shy, but can talk your ear off on the right subjects once comfortable.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
