Homework: from what I discussed, how could you use setValue:forKey: on an object to access and set private instance variables of a superclass ?

Its all about swizzling and introspection these days. :) Looking fwd to hearing how Obj C does it.

Friday, come and learn about class-dump - a 20 year old script to investigate any framework's class structures.

We'll talk about introspection available at the Objective C runtime level, and of course, the ultimate hack, swizzling methods, to alter the behaviour (that's the way Stephen spells it, where did all those u's go? A world without colour).

Michael will update us on his Brushes enquiry as well.

Also, if you're working on something and want 7 engineers to suggest ideas or review code, please bring your code.

I'd love to talk about my progress and ideas about Brushes. Let me know and I'll try to prepare something for Friday.
