We had a blast of a weekend so sorry for the delay but I want to say a big thank you to all those who represented the 3rd Friday Night Fever event. It wasn't quite the 60s showcase we wanted due to forces beyond our control but we managed to feature some blinding tunes from way back when and with the positive nature of our event regulars and the newbees a great evening was had by all.
Looking forward to our next event now..... so spread the word and get more like minded people signed up to the FNF movement. X

There are 8 hours to fill, so I am calling out some lesser known (maybe) but worthy songs from the 60's: "three cool cats" performed by the Coasters; The Fifth Dimension; "some say" performed by Nina Simone; "Eli's Comin'; Wedding Bell Blues; Stoney End; And When I Die " performed by Laura Nyro the artist who wrote these songs. Sly and the Family Stone - "Stand; Dance to the Music; Higher" . The iconic tune "grazin' in the grass" by Hugh Masekela - cowbells please!

"Poke Salad Annie" - tony joe white; Booker T and the MG's; Jackson Five's "I want you back" JA "Somebody to Love" "White Rabbit" ". And from the west coast, Dick Dale and the Del-Tones, "The Victor" "Nightrider", "The Wedge""Grudge Run".

Would love to hear Stevie Wonder's "Angie Girl" "I Don't Know Why" "I'ld Be a Fool" "Ain't No Lovin" "I was Made to Love Her", "I'ld Cry" Oh, heck, we just need a Stevie Wonder night!

Friday will be a blast. I can't wait.

    1 · April 28, 2014

WOW Kathy...you really know your stuff. I will be sure to feature as many of those gems as i can. As you say a little lesser known but i will use the more popular titles as a platform to showcase your request. Its going to be a cracking night indeed. Make sure you come say howdy to the DJ....lol

So tell me, what do you want to dance to? who do you want to hear?........

Hello all...never to early to start getting your music requests in. As always, I would like to build our night around the evening theme, sound of the 60s, and your requests. We won't be limited in our music choice but its nice to have a direction and a theme to guide the drinking and dancing.... so don't be shy hit me with your classic by gone Motown, Atlantic, Fontana or Capitol records hits and lets rock the Nordic Bar again!!!!!!!
