Are you a woman new to Raleigh/Wake/Johnston/Upper Sampson County or nearby and finding it difficult to meet peers and make new friends? Are your children grown, so you don't have the chance to get to know people from a school or other organizations? Maybe you have a husband (or not) who's working during the day, leaving you with nothing but time on your hands. I'm starting this group because this is the position I'm in and I figure there has to be more middle aged women out there who are experiencing similar challenges. Isolation is no respecter of persons...let's not feel isolated any longer. If you're in your 40s or older, (30s is okay, too) female, with no family or friends close by, let's band together to support each other and form new friendships. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone to call to meet for coffee, go shopping, or just hang out!

If you have favorite places to go don't hesitate to suggest a meetup there. If you've always wanted to check something out maybe some of us can go with you. We can stay around Raleigh or plan something alittle further away. Our meetup possiblies are endless so email or post an idea or greeting.
