Now that we are moving into colder, wintery times, "Friendly Native New Yorker Walking Tours" meetup is officially on hiatus--after all, we can't have very much fun if we're shivering in our shoes out there on the sidewalks, can we? Look for us to return in the spring, traditionally the first weekend of May. In the meantime, sign up so that you'll receive notice of when we're back, and do check out the other meetups I host, Great Places in Gotham (http://www.meetup.com/The-Great-Places-in-Gotham-Meetup/), where we visit museums and attend lectures at interesting venues around the city; and Classic Movie Meetup of Manhattan (http://www.meetup.com/Classic-Movie-Meetup-of-Manhattan/), where we see some oldies up on the Big Screen!
Usual beginning of May-end of October description:
Tired of going to the usual event at a bar and finding yourself with nothing to say--because there's nothing in particular to talk about at just a plain old bar??
Then come on a "Friendly Native New Yorker" Walking Tour!
See the city, learn some fun local history, and meet some new people, all at the same time.
Add a little urban adventure to your weekend by coming along with us.

Check out our sister groups for even more adventures: Great Places in Gotham (http://www.meetup.com/The-Great-Places-in-Gotham-Meetup/), for visiting museums in the city; and
Classic Movie Meetup of Manhattan (http://filmind.meetup.com/385/), where we see older films on the Big Screen.
