Meet for food & drinks

The Sussex & World Market is a festival that celebrates local food & drink businesses throughout Brighton and Hove.  Entry is free.

There will be over 100 stalls selling hot & cold food, plus bars offering a variety of alcoholic drinks. Some of the county's top restaurants' chefs will appearing as part of the festival's Live Food Show too.

The Sussex Children's Food Festival will also be running at the market, alongside lots of other entertainment.

We'll meet at the table and chairs outside Toastea, the Citroen H van. There should be a flag outside, saying 'British comfort food'.

Serving locally sourced British comfort food, Toastea is the perfect place to sit and relax with a drink and a snack, whilst meeting other members of Friendly Brighton Social.

Remember to mention that you're a member of Friendly Brighton Social, to receive a 10% discount on your order at Toastea.

As it's a long weekend for Easter, why not come down and join us?  If you've just joined the group, this will be a good social to attend in order to meet other people in the group. Members old and new welcome.

Hope to see you there.

I was late but managed to find the van and after saying hello to Sharon. I bought some cake at her stand and bought some delicious bread (foccaccia), honey and cheese. I would like to buy more of the wax wrapped cheddar cheese (3 for £10) if anyone remembers the seller!

To those that read the instructions above and managed to find us - it was nice to have met you all. The sun was out in force - unlike today. Hope to see you all again at a meet up soon :)

Found the citroen van but it was swamped with around a hundred people. ...so I gave up. The festival was not as good as previous years. Bit dusappointing really.

Hi, I came but unfortunately couldn't find your stand. None of the stall-holders I asked seemed to know either. Better luck next time.

couldn't find the stand or anybody, walked around the stalls four or five times, then between Hove Lawns cafe to Alfresco cafe, still nothing. Did I do something wrong. My first meetup and quite possibly my last.

I expect you're busy making tea already Sharon ... today is shaping up to be much busier than I expected (why does everything come at once?!) but will call by at 11 to say Hi and have some Toastea :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
