Dirt Bag Challenge - Backseats needed

Wow this looks really cool! A rolling and sitting bike show of bikes that took less than a month to build and less than a thousand bucks out of pocket. Judging by the you tube videos and and the pics from last years event. Thanx Ted, Norman, Peter, Stephen and Partiban you sold me on this 1. Old school choppers, new term bobbers and a party too.. Live band, food and refreshing beverages.. Here is a cool You Tube video describing the event.

Good ride, strange event. Am I just getting old (yeah, I know) but it was loud up close.
An d for a grand you could buy farkles, upgrade the suspension, do lotsa things to a good bike, but it WAS intriguing.

This event was off the hook!!!! I have never heard so many loud bikes or smelled so much burning rubber in a day. Action packed for sure, so glad I experienced it! The day of course started out with unbelieveable warm weather, a nice outdoor lunch at Alice's, a great coastal ride to San Francisco, then the thrill of seeing all the Dirt Bag bikes. And as always being with the best group of friends I have been privileged to know. Todd great job on organizing the ride and thanks to my rider Paul for providing me a comfy safe ride. It was even more amazing to ride home from SF and still have warm weather and a beautiful sky.

WoW this was cool! Loved Teds bike it was way cool right down to the smr logo on the rear fender..35 rsvps and probably 45 group members total made the event even better. You couldnt walk 30 ft in any direction w/o running into 1 of our members. The neatest bike show I ever attended..Thanx to all that came and added to the comraderie.... An absolutely beautiful day in all regards..I will never miss this event in the future..Extra thanx to Ron, G Rhonda and Michael M for your extra support.. See y'all sat at the toys for totts ride.

Todd (my fearless leader and BF), you did another outstanding job putting together Dirt Bag Challenge. What an awesome journey thru the twisties, mountain roads to Half Moon Bay then the coast to SF. This was crazy, grungy, funky absolutley wacko and fun. It was nice to meet all the new riders and seeing old friends. Can't wait to ride again.

Rick yes you may of course. You have the option of meeting us at Alices before the ride in you car where you can meet and greet and know who we are and then finding your way to the event site ...Or just find the event but you wont know who we are. The object is to share comraderie..your choice.

Alice's is expecting our group in the back room and for us to arrive between 11:30 and 12:30 .
try to order as you arrive if you want to eat. There is not alot of time before KSU.Maybe change KSU to 1:30 but dont count on it.
    Dress in layers
Next the residential area we may have to park in is not the best. Secure your helmets /jackets etc..
Safety meeting / KSU will happen at the north end of larger parking lot across the street from Alice's
Militas starters I will see you there.

The Southeast area of San Francisco where Bayview and The Dirtbag Challenge is located has the best weather in The City so I would advise that you dress in
    layers. Most San Franciscans do.

It's going to be a gorgeous sunny day in the Bay Area Sunday with highs at 71. I would advise dressing warmly, it is after all SF.

How 'bout meeting a little earlier for lunch at Alices, mandatory burger and safety talk there, and then formally starting the run north from that point? We all know the way to Alices.

    October 28, 2010

  • Todd F.

    Norman ,
It is against Fosmr policy to meet a group somewhere other than it's meetup point due to the mandatory safety talk.
However you will be accomidated by us haveing 2 meetup locations. the 2nd location to be determined later by rsvps..what do you think of the 92 el camino area?
Others feel free to offer suggestions
