Who We Are
Seasoned (Aged 50 Years Plus) travelers meet and greet to make friends; plan upcoming trips; share information about trips taken; experience new ethic foods; explore other cultures; share hot deals for travel opportunities; and find travel companions. Three experienced travelers (Marsha, Verona, and Penny) will organize the meetings and manage the group/site. If you are new to travel, learn from those who have gone before you. Don't be afraid to travel. You don't have to travel alone. Travel with us.
We have many Meet Up Events listed. Please click to see them all! You can host an event too. The more participation we have, the better this group will be.
We are happy to have everyone join the group. The experiences within the group will be enriched by full participation by many. However, the Organizers reserve the right to drop individuals from the group for lack of participation, inappropriate behavior, and actions not in the best interests of the group. That decision will made by the Organizers. Additionally, new members must abide by the photo policy described below
For consistency, new members failing to submit a profile photo with a request for membership, will be sent the following message:
“We are happy that you have joined our travel group. In order to continue to be a part of this group, it is mandatory that you upload a current profile photo of yourself so that all members of this group can see who will be joining them on these events (in all fairness to the other members who have uploaded their photos). Please do so within the next two days, otherwise, we will have no choice but to disallow your membership.”
Guidelines for Event Hosts:
There may be times that Organizers will allow other people to host events. If you wish to host an event, please submit description of the event for review..
1) All events must be submitted to me and be approved by the organizers (Organizer and two Co-Organizers) before being posted by one of us.
2) As the "Umbrella" Organizer, I reserve the right to delete events I deem not appropriate. These are:
-Unapproved Parties in private homes.
-High risk activities (e.g., rock climbing, boating).
-Advertisements masquerading as Meetups.
-Events promoting one’s personal business for personal gain.
-Events requiring members to pay any kind of money to Event Hosts. Some events may require a fee. Members will pay that fee to the third party (for example, member will buy food at a restaurant or member will buy ticket to an event).
-Events cross posted from other Meetup groups by Event Hosts.
-Meetups that automatically repeat.
-Meetups with absentee Event Hosts or with none or vague info as to how to find the Event Host & group.
3) Meetup does not allow Event Hosts to collect money through Meetup. Furthermore, I prohibit offline payments to Event Hosts. Only Organizers/Co-Organizers, on some occasions, are allowed to schedule events involving collection of money. This will be on rare occasions and only when absolutely necessary to allow participation by all in the event.
Membership is open to everyone

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
