Everyone is welcome to attend this training hike to be held at Fort Snelling State Park. This is an excellent opportunity to see how your gear will function when on the trail. It is also a great time to try out new methods of packing and organizing or seek advice from experienced crew leaders and participants. If you're curious about the group and the trips, or just out for a fun hike, feel free to go light or bring gear as well. This is a flat hiking trail with a great view of the rivers and a new vantage point of the bridges some of us use on a daily basis.
This will be about a 2 hour adventure.
Be sure to bring at least 1 liter of water and and a snack to keep your energy during the hike.
We will meet in the Interpretive Center Parking lot down at the bottom. (Follow the main road at the entrance all the way to the end) at 5:30PM and be back after about 2 hours walking the trail. Questions/concerns contact Brian Fournier. (612)[masked]
See you on the trail!
