Backpacking the Pukaskwa National Park in Ontario w/Martin Kubik&Rebecca Powell.

Pukaskwa Coastal Trail parallels the shore of Lake Superior for 40 miles and then, it dead ends. Its challenge to backpackers is greatly surpassed by its unparalled beauty.  Backpackers will experience hiking along a sandy beach, rocky coast, crossing glacial moraines and scaling smooth and exposed bedrock of the Canadian Shield. There are formidable hills and occasional bouldering, but Pukaskwa has it all.  Ample campsites, bear boxes, and unmatched solutide.  Hear Martin Kubik, protector of the BWCA trails, share his and Rebecca's exploits on six day backpacking adventure last summer and you will be hooked.   With short feature:  "Can we save the BWCA Pow Wow Trail after Pagami Creek Fire?"
