Spring Wildflowers in Bloom Along Mt.Tam Trails

Mt.Tam State Park Hike Leader, Ernie Castiaux leads today's hike.

Beginning along the Matt Davis Trail with the views of the Bay, then we climb up the Nora trail to have out lunch at the West Point Inn (1904).  After lunch, we then walk along the Rock Spring trail, which is fairly level and has breathtaking views.  We may see Calypso orchids which grow here during the Spring.

We will walk past the Mountain Theater (1936) built by the CCC.  Down Bootjack trail and Matt Davis to return to our cars.

This is a Moderately Paced Saturday  Hike.

Estimated Distance of Hike: Approximately 6 miles

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
