Rescheduled: Woodsplitting

Keeping park campers supplied with lots of split firewood not only protects the park from invasive pests but also generates thousands of dollars which can be reinvested in the park. No experience required!! Plus all of the hours accumulate toward free park passes.

We have two wood splitters so no tools are required. Also, please remember to wear good shoes / boots, long pants and gloves if you have them (we'll have some too).  And remember that you don't pay access or parking fees when you're volunteering.  Just let the folks at the gate know that your here to split wood and head on down to the woodshed.

See you there!

We really enjoyed the woodsplitting. It is a nice group of people, who are ready to help you learn to do it well and safely.

Excellent - but by all means feel free to come out before the training. Because this is FoPSP managed activity, we'll have trained volunteers on site every day - lots of folks who haven't trainde come and help out as well as the many who are also free to volunteer for other, less supervised events.
