There is no fee to join this FOL (friends of the library) meetup group. Lots of the activities and events posted here are free of charge, while others are not.
There will be an ongoing list of events - like our annual book sale always needs dedicated volunteers for sorting and organizing and our membership drives need enthusiastic supporters and recruiters. Oh, and the library ALWAYS has awesome events to attend-- so who better to attend then all us meetup groupies!
There is a Friends of the Miami-Dade Library website. On the website you will see there is a "Membership" that does cost $5 for kids and starting at $25 for adults. This can be purchased if you want to become a paying Friend of the Miami-Dade Public Library. Check out the website at www.friendsofmdpl.org
