Wonderful--so glad we met up and was able to enjoy new fellow hikers! Watching the cloud cover descend over the mountain was an incredible experience--let's do this one again very soon.

It turned out to be cloudy but the company was delightful. We did see the lights of Healdsburg and the "neighbors" on the hill. We toasted a young couple celebrating their anniversary.

We were serenaded by tree frogs as listened to the creek sing. A tiny patch of sunset color showed as we reached the peak, then thickening clouds wrapped around us - hiding city-lights bit by bit. We toasted a 28th Anniversary with champagne, ate dinner and chatted. As we hiked back to the cars, the clouds lifted up to show the valley glittering. Though we never saw the sun or moon, we all had a very nice time!

Yesterday the clouds broke up near sunset, giving great views including the headlands at Pt Reyes. just checked radar, and we might have a similar break in clouds this evening. See ya'll soon.

Everyone bring a 'picnic dinner' or snack, and drink
Hike is about 2 miles total.
Flashlights may be useful if the moon is covered by clouds.
The trail is a relatively smooth dirt road with moderate slopes.

I'll be out with a small crew tomorrow (Th) afternoon to clean it up a bit.
I'll be at the Little Sulphur Bridge (about 8 miles up) at 1pm Th for the trail work.
Folks with time & energy are welcome, I'll have extra tools, gloves, snack, water.

Let me know if you'll be up for the trail work!

    Cheers! --Dave

I'm coming and I'd like to bring my husband and another couple. The RSVP only allowed for 2 additional people. Let me know if I can't bring three. Also, Valentine's Day is our 28th anniversary! Looking forward to a unique way to celebrate.
