MMP Stewards - Removing Black Locust on edge of Pine Flat

Volunteers for this team need a moderate level of physical fitness, and must be able to walk off trail, sometimes in steep country. We count on you to honestly evaluate your ability to safely participate in the proposed activities, out of respect for fellow team members.

Usually 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month, 9am-Noon.

Send me an email if you plan to join us: [masked] or call[masked]-8184.

The MMP Stewardship are ACR volunteers, lead by the Preserve Naturalist, who help with on-the-ground projects at MMP. This will include resource management projects such as removal of invasive plants and preparation of restoration sites, collecting seeds for restoration, and more general preserve management tasks such as assisting with trail work and checking fence lines for condition of signage. The group works together, has a good time, and has opportunities to learn about the preserve and nature from the Preserve Naturalist and other team members. In addition to the camaraderie, and chance to spend time in this beautiful and wild place, team members have the satisfaction of contributing to its care.
