Orange Trail Hike with Merritt Rhoad

Moderate difficulty. Duration 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
Distance about 4 miles along Forbidden Drive to Bells Mill Rd and then along the Orange & White trails to the Indian statue with return to Northwestern Ave along Forbidden Drive. Learn a little bit more Wissahickon history and nature.

Registration is required so that you can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain or thunderstorms. Unless otherwise specified Trail Ambassador hikes use rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Please wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Long pants are recommended for protection against occasional poison ivy and possible ticks. Bring water and a snack if desired. Unless otherwise indicated, children over 7 are welcome if accompanied by a responsible adult. Please email to Sarah Marley, [masked] with any questions.

Where, exactly, do we meet? Near Bruno's?

We apologize for not seeing your comments sooner. The meet up for Merritt's hikes is always the intersection of Forbidden Drive and Northwestern Avenue, which is listed as the location for the hike. This is down the street from Bruno's.
