Spring Potluck Picnic...1st Annual~!

Spring has sprung so lets throw our first annual Spring Potluck Picnic~!

We will gather at Secret Lake Park in Casselberry at the pavilion on N. Triplet Lake Drive. [This pavilion is also known as the Casselberry Kiwanis Memorial Shelter.] Please pay attention to the directions below so you don't end up at a different pavilion. Plan to bring whatever you like to eat plus a little more to share. If you plan to BBQ bring charcoal and lighter fluid.

Let's declare what we are bringing in the comments section below the listing. That way we don't have 5 people bringing hummus and pita chips like we did once before LOL. Don't forget ice and coolers, they always come in handy for when others bring cartons of soft drinks.

Set your GPS or mapmaker to 200 N. Triplet Lake Dr as a landmark. BUT when you get there OUR pavilion is to the far left of that building. There is a tennis court in between OUR pavilion and the main building at 200 N. Triplet Lake Drive. Park where you can, plenty of parking.

There is a nature walk, plenty of trees and a couple of lakes for fishing or boating (you provide fishing gear and/or boat!). There are tennis courts, a basketball court, a baseball field, restrooms and plenty of open space.

As for the picnic I would say to bring what you like to eat/drink at picnics plus some to share. You know the drill. Don't forget to bring a knife if you bring cakes, bring charcoal if you bring meat for the grill etc. Also bring plates, eating utensils, ice and beer if you plan on drinking it.

Maybe bring a kite or three and hope for some wind!

If the weather turns rainy we will reschedule so stay tuned for updates~!

Very good! More people should have come to enjoy it--cool breezes, NO rain!

VeryGood inspite of all those members who rsvp and never showed up or have the courtesy to inform Lilly. What was very interesting was those shameless people who came with nothing but swinging hands hoping for a freebee meal. There are a lot of homeless shelters around. Truely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not much of a cook, but I might grab something at the Publix around the corner and stop in. I need to get out and meet people and this is literally within walking distance from where I'm staying (though that may be difficult while carrying food)

Ooo, you changed it from Easter. I forgot Easter was coming up. I have to stock up on Cadbery Creme Eggs before they disappear.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
