Crazy for Country Karaoke Night at Post Times Lounge Café in Longwood FL

Come out with us and sing your heart out or just enjoy the show and support your friends onstage. Expect to hear great, good, bad, and ugly all on the same night.

Our Theme for this night is *Crazy for Country Karaoke*. If you have a special number that is not theme please feel free to sing away! This is just a suggestion and a challenge for our members to shoot for something new.

Theme Night options we will eventually try out are endless like: Christmas, Disney, Broadway Tunes, Love Songs, 90's, 80's, 60's, One Hit Wonders, Country, Hair Bands,  etc.

When it gets closer to the event time I will be able to post an update of what drink and eat specials that Post time is offering that evening but typically they have been doing : 1/2 off pizza's, $6 Bud or Bud Light Pitcher's, and $1 Off ALL Drinks.

Karaoke Nights

You can view Katie's Karaoke Song Books by Artist, Title Plus, Recent Additions (which gets updated every month) at: www.KatieJoyce.com

POST TIME's  Powerball Karaoke Lotto adds the chance to win hundreds of dollars. Every time you sing, your song slip is put into the drawing. The more you sing, the more chances you have to win the Powerball Jackpot. Money drawings will be held twice nightly at 10:30 pm and 12:30 pm. The money pot starts at $100 and grows each week by $25.00 until there is a winner! Then we start over at $100.

Common Karaoke Questions:

Can you change the key? Yes, as much as up 12 half steps or, down 12 half steps. Please write on top of slip if you wish for key change. I can also change the Tempo. If the lyrics are out of sync to the music, I can correct that too!

What is your policy on Duets? A Duet must go under one of the two singer’s turns. Please circle the person whose turn the duet goes under.

How do you run your rotation? We call the singers up in order that the request slips are received.  After the Powerball at 10:30 they go back to the beginning and starting the rotation over again and insert a new singer every other song. The earlier you arrive, the more chances you have at singing.

LOCATION: Post Time Lounge Café is at 2500 S Hwy 17-92, Longwood, FL 32750. (407) 834-9396. Located at the corner of Dog Track Road and Hwy 17-92. There should be plenty of parking available.

Hi Guys, Just a refresher -

Karaoke DO and DON'T list:

1. Do applaud profusely, even if they can't sing.  They had the guts to get up there.

2. Don't heckle the singer, it's rude.

3. Do have fun, but not at other people's expense.

4. Don't join in on a song in progress without prior permission from the singer.

5. Do sing directly into the microphone one to six inches from your mouth.

6. Don't disrespect the equipment like tap on, drop, or swing the microphones, or cup the microphone screen.

7. Don't point a live microphone at a speaker, it will feed back.  Hold the microphone up even during the instrumental breaks.

8. Do fill out the song request slips completely. If possible do sing multiple songs, if there is a large queue be patient let everyone get a chance. Come in early, you get to sing more.

9. Don't sit in the crowd and try to sing louder than the singer.

10. Do dance if you get the urge.  Be Brave Don't be Shy. A wise person once wrote: 'My Shyness Has Ruined So Many Good Opportunities.' Don't let that be you anymore!

It was very enjoyable, though I didn't get to visit with many of the others in the meetup due to bringing a friend that I brought along that was experiencing a bad day and didn't want to mingle.

Dust off your best boots, and pull on your cowboy/girl hats. Its time to pay homage to Country Music and all that it's done for the music industry. Classic Country or Modern Country, folk or bluegrass. Lets Round up and have some fun. Yeehaw!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
