British Invasion

UPDATE: We will meet at Blue Bird Bake Shop at 1:45pm located at 3122 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. http://www.bluebirdbakeshop.com Then after getting together with everyone (and loading up on the sugar high) we will walk over to where all the action is.

If you would like to register for the event the site is:  http://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/event?oeidk=a07e7bc2kts5b4c3383&llr=4rqho9cab

Register sooner than later as the prices get higher.  If you DON"T want to race the activities are free to my understanding.

It’ll be a bloody good time filled with live music, fish and chips, a Mad Hatter tea party, outrageous hats, English ale, Dr. Who costumes, and any other fun British stereotype we can think of.

British Isles Adventure Race, where brains, not speed, will carry you across the finish line. It's a combination scavenger hunt/trivia contest/photo expedition.

Great prizes, costumes, and fun, with an after party at Redlight Redlight.

Join us for this smart phone scavenger hunt / trivia contest where brains, not athleticism, will carry you across the finish line.

Show your colors on Saturday, May 18th, 2 to 5:30 pm for our Inaugural British Isles Adventure Race, where teams of two or three compete to decipher clues, answer trivia questions and have a bloody good time.

Do you know your Fab Four? British royals? Dr. Who? 007? Don't know it all? That's ok, that's what your smart phone is for. To phone a friend, look up clues, and take pictures to record all your successes along the way. Participants who compete in a UK-themed costume will receive bonus points that will help save them time. The better the costume, the more points earned.

At the end of the challenge, each participant will enjoy a free beer, fine wine or cane sugar soda to wait out the results. Prizes include free tickets to the 2014 Scottish Highland Games, tickets to a regular season Orlando City Soccer game, two free tickets to The Gothic Cotillion, gift certificate from Liam Fitzpatrick's, and an APGD gift basket, with more prizes being added all the time.

After party at Redlight Redlight, beginning at 5:30.

Still unsure if I can go or now but as a suggestions - What about meeting at the Blue Bird Bake Shop. http://bluebirdbakesh... 3122 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. Then after getting together with everyone (and loading up on the sugar high) walk over to where all the action is.
The other suggestion would be to meet infront of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church at 1603 East Winter Park Road Orlando, FL 32803 which is right next to the elementary school.

If I may, It's $15 per person and that includes your choice of craft beer, fine wine or craft soda, plus a chance at prizes, plus an after party at Redlight Red Light. Tickets go up to $20 per person on Saturday and will be $40 per person the day of the race. http://tinyurl.com/britrace1 But even without being part of the smart phone scavenger hunt/trivia contest there should be great things to see and do.
