Embracing Constraints

I (Andi Graham) am going to give the design-oriented bit of a presentation that I'll be giving at the Digital Project Manager's Summit in October - I hope you'll let me warm up on you all!

I'm going to talk a bit about using constraints to help make design/front-end dev decisions - and not just the usuals like time and budget.

I'll walk you through how we discover and prioritize project constraints; how we apply them to our work and help guide projects through the design process. My hope is that you'll leave with a better idea of how to make design decisions, how to talk about those decisions to clients/bosses and make sure you're all on the same page along the way.

We'll be back at Big Sea for this one, but have sponsor locations lined up for the next few months.

The Iron Yard will be providing food so come hungry and ready to mingle ;)

Any way you could have a Google Hangout for this event? I live too far away but am VERY Interested in this event.

I came late and also left early, but I was wondering who spoke in the beginning, and he mentioned some kind of opportunity for junior devs, if I heard correctly. If someone could fill me in. Thanks in advance!

He was a speaker from the iron yard a fast paced code school. The junior devs comment was I believe in reference to their future graduates that may be looking for opportunities after finishing the course.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
