Where: Lori's Office Conference Room 6825 E Tennessee Avenue Room 402 Denver , CO 80201 [masked]
I am getting pretty good at making these late announcements, aren't I? Well, if my health and my memory weren't so inconsistent, I might actually do a better job at this but, of course, I am trying, aren't I?
[PLEASE SEE THE NOTE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT MY HEALTH]
MANY THANKS to Dianefor holding court over the last meeting. In her "report" about the last meeting, she said that "...the meeting went well. There were four of us, one new guy - Art, and we had several lively discussions about ADD and insurance and other things. One of the discussions we had was about local mental health organizations."
Again, since no topic was chosen for the meeting this week, I'm sure the group will find something to chat about, which we always do in fine ADD/ADHD style!
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RSVP!!!!!
Our meeting will be at the usual place and will begin promptly at 7pm. The inner doors at the building automatically lock at 7 but if for some reason you are late, please call Lori's cell number (below).
We encourage those who may be late due to work, or anything that may delay them, to attend the meetings; please don't think that being late should deter you from attending.
Have an excellent meeting on Oct 13th! All my best- Sam
Lori's cell #.......303-[masked].....PLEASE do NOT call before the day of the meeting nor before 6:45 because Lori runs a very busy business. If you have questions about the meeting, call me on my cell at[masked]-7525. THANK YOU!
NOTE ABOUT MY HEALTH: I am plugging along, which means that I am doing my best at just keeping my head above water. A trip to the surgeon this passed week has me waiting some more. My surgeon doesn't exactly see what my 2 other docs say, so she needs to conference with them to look at just what needs to be done.....or not! At some point this week or next, I will go back in for 2 more tests on my esophagus to see what they can see and to get a better assessment on how to move forward. Although I return to work tomorrow, as mandated by my original FMLA paperwork, my heart certainly isn't in it but I have no choice because I need to have a paycheck. And since I didn't sign up for Short Term Disability on my insurance last year, I haven't had any money for the last month, which leaves me close to flat broke!
Everyone experiences a variety of difficulties with ADD/ADHD. We can learn from each other to develop more fulfilling lives by helping with issues like implementing structure, organization, time management and social skills. Sharing our personal experiences are important tools for those with ADHD/ADD. Our frequent gatherings (weekly) will include useful topics to help lead more productive lives in a friendly group environment. Occasionally, we have Guest Speakers, who present a wealth of information; one such presentation can be seen on an outside website at any time.
This Meetup is always a structured group with open discussions on topics chosen by members from week to week with time enough for both personal issues and questions of any type.
Meetings are held in the Denver Metro area, every other Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm. And even though the meeting begins at 7 sharp, members are encouraged to come, despite being late due to work schedules or other personal commitments. So please join us in a supportive atmosphere for all of your ADD/ADHD needs!
