    This shot compresses the 'gamma' beautifully, without overdoing it. REALLY nice. Most HDR are too much, THIS one is perfect.

    Thanks for your comments, Amy and John. I've been photographing for HDR since 2005. I agree that there are many poor or "overly artistic" examples of images processed for HDR. I must say, though, that there are some legitimate, artistic HDR images, although I haven't seen any examples of those of landscape that I like. I'm considering making a Meetup where I'll show my approach to realistic HDR in one session and then have a field workshop, probably in GoG at sunrise.
