  • This location is shown only to members

A free snowshoe event with hundreds of demo snowshoes for adults and children. In honor of MLK weekend, even the National Park entrance fee will be waived. The day includes guided hikes, snow activities, outdoor gear displays, and free giveaways. It's part of the Estes Park Winter Festival going on all weekend. Bring food and water and dress for the weather.

We'll meet at the Park & Ride at 9:00 am to arrange for carpools and plan on being up in Estes shortly after ten in the morning.

I'm thinking we can meet for carpooling, but other than that I'm thinking everyone is pretty much on their own. I won't try coordinating any group get together while we're there. Let's just have fun and do our own thing. Feel free to arrange your own impromptu meetings, if you want. My number is[masked] if you need to reach me.

Snow is no reason to stop hiking. Though your favorite footpath may be covered in deep powder, why pine for spring when you can slip on a pair of snowshoes and get out on the trail all winter long? Snowshoeing, after all, is simply hiking in winter.

Winter Trails Day is a free snowshoe festival with hundreds of demo snowshoes for adults and children;  advice from snowshoe experts, demos snowshoes to try out and outdoor gear displays . Bring food and water. Note: Beginning at 2:00 PM, the available quantity of demo equipment will be restricted; so be sure to arrive early enough so that you can demo each and every model! Please bring your driver’s license to registration. For more information visit www.WinterTrails.org and choose CO...Estes Park.

The event is free, however normal park entrance fees apply. Stay and play, as Estes Park is hosting a Winter Festival all weekend!!   See all activities on the Winter Festival website at www.EstesParkWinterFestival.com

I will have my own snowshoes, like to get out on a trail for a good hike, and see some of the festival in town. Is the intent of this outing simply to demo snowshoes, or more hiking and festivaling?

As much as moonlight snowshoeing would be cool, I did mean 9:00 am.

    I assume you meant 9 a.m. and not p.m. - right?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
