Title: Building Single Page Applications with AngularJS
Abstract: Today we do not write websites anymore. We write web applications. They are complex and can be written with hundreds of thousands of lines of JavaScript code. As this is not a simple task we need a framework (a middle tier) to make the development faster and the maintenance easier.
AngularJS is an advanced client-side framework based on the MVC pattern that allows developers to extend HTML vocabulary and make the written code much more expressive and readable. With angular, developers can create custom HTML elements with complex behaviors, two way data binding and much more.
In this session we will see how to use AngularJS to create single page applications with ease.
Session Level: 200
Speaker: Danny Vernovsky
Speaker Bio: Danny Vernovsky is consultant for Sela Group and Mobile Team leader for an international airline company. He specializes in web and mobile development. Danny is coder and an explorer of new technologies always looking to innovate.

    Thank you indeed was good.
2 questions I wanted to ask but we run out of time.
1.which service and method are commonly used to connect the server?
2.if I want to write jquery functions, what is a good practice? Where should I place it?

    August 15, 2013

    • Danny V.

      Hi,
      1. I would use service as "service", not a factory. There are no need to create new instance every time you want to contact the server. service will provide singleton object that can be used to make requests.

      2. Does by writing jquery finctions you mean manipulating the DOM? If so, general practice is to do it from service and not from controller for example. Danny

Thanks for the organization, and Danny for a wonderful and informative presentation. AngularJs seems so much fun now :)

I would love to hear more about AngualrJS and best practices from people whom have had deep hands on practice with it. Note to the Guy who knew everything and more!, would love to see you present sometime soon on AngularJs. I myself have been using Ember Js for the last projects.
