Choosing a whitewater kayak

I am definitely interested in a meet-up like this. I just bought a PFD and helmet but I'm putting off the actual kayak purchase until I've tried out more models. It would be great to have expert help!

I think this is a great idea for a Meetup Bob. I would also recommend informing people how and where they can try out boats. I'm thinking of Meyer's pool in the Winter and the Clear Creek play park in the Summer. Both places have a wide range of demo boats available so people can get a feel for the differences in boats.
