6th Annual Doors Open Denver - Denver opens it's doors to the public this weekend allowing visitors to step inside just to see what they can see! Last year we had a great time, beginning with a trip up to the top of the Daniels & Fisher Tower. One tight elevator ride and several flights of stairs gets you to the balcony where the view will knock your socks off! Are you game? Let's meet at the Park in front at 9:30 a.m. (it opens at 10:00 but we want to be first in line). 1601 Arapahoe St. (look up, it's the skinny tall building!) After we tire of the Tower we can visit the Granite Building at Larimer Square and Hotel Teatro. Let's gather for a group lunch then head out to see some Mansions. The Zang Mansion, Governor's Residence at the Boettcher Mansion are near each other but a car ride away. Or we can scrap the Mansions and visit the Union Station and the basement where the Denver Society of Model Railroaders hangs out. They've been playing with trains for 77 years down there and have created the largest O scale model railroad layout in the country! That should be a full day of photos and fun. RSVP and let me know Mansions or Trains. I'm not tied to either, I just aim to please (majority rules)!
