Frontend Meetup #25

  • August 7, 2014 · 7:00 PM

• Jung Sin (Kinja): How to not piss off 50M users, the UX way

Kinja is an existing product with a large user base. The design team is challenged with the evolution and innovation the product interface and ecosystem. The talk will cover our approach and methodologies to solving problems and best practice solutions.

• Gáspár Körtesi (Kinja): The Kinja Frontend Workflow

I'll show a walk through our frontend process, how we deploy dozens of times a day, from idea to code to live feature and back.

• Dávid Győri (Popcode): iOS8 with Swift for JavaScript developers

“Swift is basically Javascript on steroids” At WWDC 2014 Apple introduced Swift, the brand new language to replace the old Objective-C. We will check the similarities and differences to JavaScript, try the Playground, than live code a basic browser application.

•  Fröccs (location TBD)

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors Kinja (venue & tech) and EU Edge (snacks & drinks)!

Yeah sorry about that, the Kinja guys are here from New York with a tight schedule (with Sziget and all :) so this is the only option :( Let's grab a fröccs after the talks and share what we've heard! I'll give you a heads up if we determine the location for that
