For the 17th year, a medieval kingdom will take over Sunset Park with lavishly costumed knights, knaves, fine ladies and wenches as CBS Radio, Miller Lite and Clark County Parks and Recreation present the annual Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival, Oct. 8-10. Several stages will feature entertainment with costumed performers presenting more than 50 shows per day along with historical re-enactments, jousting tournaments, medieval pageantry and more than 100 artisans – including blacksmiths, stained glass designers, jewelers, wood workers, toy makers, perfume blenders, stone carvers and sword, dagger and armor craftsman -- to demonstrate and sell their wares. Authentic food, from fish and chips to an English feast, also will be available as well as beer and ales for adults with proper identification. Concerts all weekend will feature local acts with nationally known acts as well as a royal parade with kings, queens, warriors and peasants, takes place on Saturday and Sunday. The festival offers full-contact jousting tournaments; no-holds-barred gladiator battles; black powder demonstrations, strolling minstrels, contortionists, magicians, storytellers, jokers, jugglers, flame eaters, belly dancers, trained parrots and pirates. Surprisingly fun! I'm not into the Renaissance or any kind of historical reenactment type of stuff. My son loves medieval history and knights though. He had a fantastic time interacting with all of the ren faire people. It's fairly elaborate in a perfect setting. I'd go back! My fiance fell in love with the leather artisans there.

I have the free printed ticket with my name that I have to redeem at the ticket booth.

I'm going alone so I also have TWO ADDITIONAL TICKETS if people missed out on the free one online.

Are people just going on their own are is there a group meeting somewhere specific?

I'll be there, you won't be able to miss me with bright red auburn long long hair and all in black. Also, ladies don't forget your Ta Ta Coolers tomorrow, it's going to be hot! And for those of you who don't know what Ta Ta coolers are, they have them at the fair for sale, you'll be glad you bought one! LOL

Yeah, they are not giving away any more tickets, but it is certainly worth the ten bucks to get in. If you go to this website: http://www.lvrenfair.com/ from Nevada Parks & Rec...its the best site as they have maps and downloadable fair schedule for you to see what is going on within the park. Pretty cool!

Jennifer, it's the 11th hour. This deal was posted a long time ago - you must have just seen this? If you wait until the last second for a deal like this, they're usually out of tickets by now. I'm sure that's why you can't print tickets. Early bird gets the worm. Poly

Unreal. You are looking at the future America. Scanning and fingerprinting at every opportunity they can. Just back from Germany and their 'free speech' rights are a f'g joke. Some liberation post-WWII. You say the wrong thing on the wrong subjects and: jail-within minutes! Its that way through most of Europe. Young folks who've known nothing else see this as normal. Amerika is heading down that path, albeit slower. Believe not? Well my dear.....your eyes will one day see the light.

I doubt they check ID but just to be safe, sign up again with your real name and a web-based spam email address or photoshop your real name on the ticket and print it.

On my free ticket is printed my email name - not the same as my real name. Do they check ID when the free ticket is presented?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
