July 23rd is my birthday and I'd like to host a Fruitluck in my backyard! Since the 23rd is on a Wednesday I'd like to host it on the weekend on the 26th.

We have 7 fruit bearing trees, two of which will be in season, one grape vine, a garden with vegetables, multiple tables, one of which I modified to seat 16 and plenty of seats.

Please bring ripe fresh fruit. Organic/exotic fruit is encouraged. We have a green waste bin for compost. Cameras, poi, hula hoops, guitars, etc would be fun.

For those new to the area, Oliver's Market is a great place to get fruit. See you at the fruitluck?

I had a blast hosting this event, I'm so glad everyone came out so far. These meetups make me feel like royalty due to all the wonderful abundance of diverse fruit and awesome company. I'm so glad I found this group and I'll look forward to the next fruitluck!

Hi Diane, of you like you could drive here and leave the car right in front of my house and we go together. Parking is very easy in my neighborhood. Text me for address details and time. :)

I'm most likely driving up from the South Bay, just because I love the community here! I could fit 3-4 people in my car if anyone wants a ride from San Francisco or Oakland areas. Let me know either here or my number is[masked]

Hi everyone! I'm not attending (as I'm currently in Australia), but from late-August onwards I'll be doing an exchange semester at UC Berkeley. I'm looking forward to meet-ups then!

So glad someone finally put together something that's doesn't cost me $30 to attend (gas, toll, parking). Also, thanks to Mina or whoever assisted in putting this up on meetup considering the accounts costs $. Thanks upfront Andreas for hosting. Wouldn't it be wonderful if this picked up a little, and we could do so more often? I know I'd be more than happy to allow my house/backyard to be used for future meetups. The question is, how do I spread the word more?

I suggested this event and Mina approved it after 3 people RSVPed. I also created a facebook event page for my friends and I've got 2 goings and 8 maybies.

      Hey Matty!

Juliet has been generously paying to keep this Meetup going while she is traveling through Southeast Asia. Brian and I have been organizing the last fruitlucks for the past few months. I think it's awesome that Andreas is hosting a fruitluck at his place. And I hope you do so too! Michelle and Nate are planning one in the South Bay.

Generally, anyone who has been to a few fruitlucks is welcomed to suggest a fruitluck. If three people RSVP then it'll be officially announced. Please take a group picture and post it on the Meetup page. I also recommend joining the Bay Area Frugivores group on Facebook to connect with other frugivores.

I don't really have a single favorite fruit, I guess I did list "the plums from our back yard" as my favorite fruit in my profile and I always bring melons to events; cantaloupe, honeydew and flesh melons. I love diversity, ripe, homegrown, organic fruit and if I had to single out one favorite fruit there would be too much of it at the event.

A funny quirk I do have is that I never really liked avocados but as soon as they are spiced up and made into guacamole or added to a wrap or sushi I enjoy them.

I really love the idea of fuitlucks and I think the aforementioned and the company of like minded individuals are the greatest gifts one can receive.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
