Yes, and have seen him speak, and am very unimpressed. His books are just his own opinions, not backed up by reference to research. At his talk he dealt with anyone who asked questions he didn't like by sneering at them, instead of giving a rational well-informed answers. A high carbohydrate diet of whole plant foods is certainly the best. But some people on fruitarian diets or mostly-fruit diets have developed tooth loss, skin problems, or hair becoming thin and breaking off easily. Proponents of fruit-based diets don't warn people of this, and that's not right.
