As we enter 2013, Steve and I have a lot to celebrate. First and most exciting is that Steve just found out that he passed his CFP Board Exam http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_Financial_Planner! He is now able to socialize again and is excited to see all of our wonderful friends.
The second reason for the party is that my birthday is February 5th. Always a good excuse to get together with friends.
The FINAL and MOST IMPORTANT reason is that Tony Yanow has graciously offered to donate $1.00 of every Vegan Sandwich and Burger that is purchased during our party to one of our favorite charities, Compassion Over Killing https://www.facebook.com/CompassionOverKillingLosAngeles?fref=ts! How cool is that? And have you tried their BANH MI and FRIED A.L.T. sandwiches -- out of this world yummy!
Our celebration will take place in one of Golden Road's private rooms called Chloe’s We will be upstairs in their Game Room and will have music, pool and board games available for your pleasure.
When you get to the pub, just walk towards the left of the bar where you will see a door with a sign saying Guests of Alyssa, Steve and COK (or something to that effect). Go through the door and up the stairs to get to our party. Please feel free to bring your own board/card games if you so desire.
Golden Road has bent the rules a bit to accommodate us and is allowing everyone to have separate checks to make purchasing your food and beverages hassle free throughout the evening. You may pay by cash or credit card. Please come HUNGRY! COK will receive $1 from every VEGAN Sandwich or Burger purchased from 6-10. And I hear we may even have a special beer on tap available the night of the party. Help us thank Golden Road for their generosity by tipping generously. :-)
To sweeten the deal, Steve and I have ordered a special dessert to share with all of our guests.
Please feel free to invite any of your friends to this event. Children are welcome. The more the merrier!
*Note to all of you who were raised to never go to a party empty handed: No gifts are necessary. You will be purchasing drinks and/or food already. If you are compelled to do more, you can donate directly to Compassion Over Killing. :-)
