Hello everyone. I want to thank all of you who participated in the Rancho Park Vegan Potluck Picnic on Thanksgiving Day. I think it was the biggest gathering we ever had there or at least the biggest in a long time. I think we had over 325 attendees and probably closer to 400! I perceived a great deal of love, compassion and connection and a deep sense of community. I think there was so much delicious, compassionately created food and the weather was pretty amazing!
I have so much gratitude for you all.
You are welcome to join us next year at Rancho Park. Here is a link to the Facebook event page for next year's gathering:
I would like to extend a special thank you to all the volunteers that made it possible for this event to be what it was. This is an event put on by the community not by any individual or organization, and we all have an equal voice. Like this year, everyone is welcome to participate in creating our event next year. Keep an eye out for next year's planning meeting if you would like to be more involved.
I would also like to thank the restaurants/organizations that contributed food to our feast. Vegan Joint made the huge pot of yellow curry and rice. They have locations in the Palms neighborhood near Culver City, Hollywood, and Woodland Hills. Rahel Ethiopian Vegan Cuisine contributed lentil wraps, lentils and injera bread. They are located at 1047 South Fairfax Ave. La 90019, and Green Menu offers a discount card for veggie friendly restaurants. Here are links to their websites:
Thank you again everyone. Looking forward to seeing you at Rancho Park next year.
