I'll try anything at least once, although I don't eat non-veg other than seafood. I really think the best foods aren't the ones everyone sees on the standard menus at franchised restaurants. Secret menu items, hole-in-the-walls, mom and pop shops, street foods, and home cooking/grilling excite me. Potlucks and BBQs are definitely the best events.
I have a strong belief that food can help develop a stronger community. It brings both families and complete strangers together, and that's what I want to experience and help build. Along these lines I'm developing a website that allows users to search their zip codes for chefs that cook high quality, authentic foods in their area. In the future we want to include group event planning features to help increase the food experiences (BBQs, street carts, potlucks, pop-up restaurants, whatever else creative foodies can come up with) people can enjoy in their cities. I really want to get involved in the events that take place already and help to continue the fun. Can't wait to be a part of it!

My name is Kaustubh Bhardwaj, and I'm not a chef but definitely a foodie. My mom was the head chef and owner of an Indian restaurant but I always liked her home cooking better. Love to try new things, new foods, new experiences, and meet new people!
