Tucson has a lot of wonderful theaters (drama is great ~ on the stage!) which offer comedy, farce, period pieces, tragedy, and everything else in between. Much of it is affordable (e.g., $20 and under), especially compared with bigger towns.
And of course, we have many restaurants including most all ethnicities.
So let's grab a bite, socialize and see a show! In February, one of our first events was contemporary Commedia Dell’Arte, funny physical comedy in masks; $10 at the door. "Warning: Commedia Dell’Arte is an old theatre form that is bawdy, scatological, & includes enlarged body parts, gross occurrences, & vulgarity."
Sound good? If you missed this one, there's quite a bit more ~ of all kinds ~ to follow.
Near the end of August we saw: The Kathy & Mo Show, Parallel Lives, at
Beowulf Alley, Visiting Mr. Green at Live Theatre Workshop, The Comedy Genius of O. Henry at Comedy Playhouse... and more!
Please RSVP now if you can definitely join us! Become a member and see which shows you wish to attend; I send an email via Meetup with date/time/etc details when a new event is posted. If you are a new member and therefore did not receive the email, let me know which you're interested in, and I'll forward the email to you.
Usually, dinner first (or after, if a matinee).
We also go to concerts, Centennial Hall events, movies? etc.
