This is a brand new restaurant in Addison, which just opened two weeks ago. It is the very first restaurant to open in Texas, and is based in Miami, with locations in S Fla, the Caribbean, and S America. I ate there the weekend that it first opened, two weeks ago, & it was great. This restaurant features Tropical themed foods, such as “ Flame-Grilled Citrus Chicken, Calypso Beef, etc. It is bright and airy, and very inexpensive, also serving bottled beer, frozen Mango drinks, and Cuba Libre, etc. It is located on the border on Addison & N Dallas on Belt Line Rd, one block E of The Tollway & Montfort ,( right next door to Soho Food & Jazz ). The only quirky thing about this place, although there is a front door in the front of the restaurant, you have to enter on the W side entrance, where a person is stationed outside the side door, & gives you a " Ticket Number " for your table, which you later give to the cashier when you come in and order. Then, they will bring your food out to your Ticket-Numbered Table, where you are sitting.
When we are through eating, we could go next door to Soho ( band starts at 8:30 pm, with a two drink minimum ), to listen to some music and have a few drinks, OR, go about three to four blocks W on Belt Line & Quorum, to Arthurs in Addison to dance.
