Who's up for some authentic Moroccan cuisine?
Here's a description of the restaurant from RestaurantPassion.com http://restaurantpass..
" No time for a trip to North Africa? Marrakech Restaurant is a vacation in itself. Step from bustling Bloomfield Avenue into a space that evokes all that Casablanca promised; romance, adventure and a taste of the exotic.
Owned by Simon Chbihi, Marrakech serves authentic Moroccan cuisine cooked fresh to order by his parents, Malika and Abdu. "Moroccan cuisine is one of the best...in the world" Simon said in a recent interview with Montclair Magazine. "It's the ingredients and how we cook our food. There's a special way to take care of the meat and prepare the food in advance. It's a lot of work".
Entrees are flavorful and complex, showcasing ingredients in exciting combinations. The lamb tagine, a traditional dish cooked and served in a clay pot whose shape keeps the flavors in as it cooks, is served with prunes, almonds and Moroccan spices. Finish your meal with Moroccan mint tea, a blend of green tea and fresh mint.
The imported tin cut sconces and table lanterns create a warm glow that invites the diner to sit and stay. The silk pillows gracing the banquets, Moroccan art and architectural details create an intimate ambiance for friends or something more romantic."
