Deep Sea Fishing

Leaves from Madera Bay in St. John's Pass
Roughly 10 miles off the coast, sufficiently surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico, Hubbard’s Marina's half-day fishing trips anchor. The marina’s US Coast Guard–certified deep-sea-fishing vessel bobs in the water, stretching out 72 feet long to accommodate 40–50 hopeful fishers. From their watery post, passengers cast lines to lure gray snapper, sea bass, porgies, and trigger fish. The half-day trip lasts around five hours and the full-day trip around ten hours, with 40-65 minutes spent traveling into the Gulf and another 40-65 minutes of travel inland. Each fish that is caught will be placed on a stringer line and stored in an icebox.

I had to change the date to Sunday, Feb 2 because of conflicts with work. Working for a living is really getting in the way... Please let me know if this date works. thanks. :)

I've set the date of this outing for Sunday January 12. The full day trips only go on Tues, Fri, and Sunday. This can be changed, but please post as soon as possible if this date doesn't work.

    Here is some important stuff:

    1. You MUST make your own reservation. [masked] . I am sitting at the bow seat of the starboard side (front right for you land lubbers). Please update your meetup with seat location once you've made your reservation.

    2. You MUST arrive by 6:15 AM or you risk being left behind and being charged for the trip anyway. Park in the parking garage across from the marina. They will give you a coupon for all day for $5

    3. You can bring your own food/cooler or buy it on board. No glass, alcohol, and especially NO bananas.

    4. You can rent a rod/reel for $15 and buy live bait ($9/doz) or bring your own.
