4th of July Celebrations!

Hi, FunBerks!

I will be away for the Fourth of July this year but I still want to make sure any one staying locally will have fun celebrating our nation's birthday! Here are some wonderful local events listed below. If any one would like to host the group, feel free to drop me a line. Or if there is a different event you'd like to include and/or host on this date or a different date, your ideas are always welcomed.

1)  Wyomissing Independence Day Celebration


Stone House

1216 Parkside Dr N

Reading, Pennsylvania 19610

8:30 AM — Judging begins for BEST DECORATED HOUSE on and off the parade route. Ribbons will be given with consideration for creative decorating appropriate for a Patriotic theme. Ribbons will be awarded at the Stone House following the parade.

9:15 AM — Assemble for PARADE on Wyomissing Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue.

9:40 AM — Judging begins.

10:00 AM — Parade 

11:00 AM — Stone House Events, games, food and awarding of Ribbons.

Swimming Pool Events will be held at 4:00 PM

2)  4th of July Celebration


West Reading Pool

The West Reading Pool is open at 12:00PM for games, music and fun throughout the day. Fireworks begin at 9:30PM! 

3)  Red, White & Blues Party


Reading Public Museum

500 Museum Road

Reading  Pennsylvania  19611


Celebrate the holiday with our annual “Red White & Blues” Celebration in the tent on our Stone Terrace! Get a great parking space, enjoy food & drinks and a special performance by the Lehigh Valley’s finest, The James Supra Blues Band! Plus after the show, enjoy the fireworks next door at the West Reading Playground! “Doors” open at 6 p.m. and music begins at 7 p.m. Admission is FREE, and food and beverages by ViVÁ Bistro and Tapas Lounge will be available for purchase. (The Museum is not open.)

Event Time: 7 - 9 p.m.

This concert is part of the 52nd Annual Museum Concert Series at The Museum presented by First National Bank of Pennsylvania.
