I'm co-founder and technical director of Sixty North AS, a small software development, consulting, and training company based in Stavanger and Oslo. I'm originally from Austin, Texas, but I've lived in Stavanger for several years now.
I'm interested in programming in general, and functional languages are a fascinating part of the programming world! It's easy to see the benefits of FP, so I'd like to learn more about using it.
Yes. I've noodled around with Common Lisp, Scheme, Haskell, plus a bit with Clojure and other languages. I'm also a heavy emacs user, so I've become reasonably good at Emacs Lisp. I'm also a big fan of the "functional style" in Python.
Common Lisp, F#, Clojure, Scala, Emacs Lisp, Scheme, Haskell...the list goes on...
Yes I would Austin! Probably not in the next few weeks, but yes. I think we have bumped into one another once. I used to be a software project manager at Roxar. That was a few years ago.
