Please indicate if you are coming. A special welcome to our new members. Just one more and we'll be 20! Not bad for a meetup in a subject a lot of developers has never even tried.
Functional programming is catching on. Notably, John Carmack of Id Software (Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake) has started porting the original Wolfenstein 3D to Haskell to learn the language (https://twitter.com/id_aa_carmack/status/331918309916295168). This is one way of going about it that I recommend: find a project and just make it work in the language you want to learn.
After our next meetup, perhaps you'll start a project in F#.
Location coming very soon.
