Mixed-Level Fusion Belly Dance

6:30 - 7 pm Pilates for Belly Dance
Shed the day's stress and get into top form through this 30 minute conditioning class designed to target the muscles that drive your dance (and give a little TLC to those we often ignore). Melt away tension, strengthen, and stretch through a combination of pilates exercises, therapy ball releases, and dance conditioning techniques tailored to support belly dancing bodies. Please bring a yoga mat - other props will be provided.
7 - 8:30 pm Fusion Belly Dance
The goal of this mixed level fusion belly dance class is to guide students towards clarity, fluidity, and depth in their movements while providing a diverse tool kit of techniques that they can use to develop their own practice and performances. We'll alternate between learning choreography and using improvisation exercises to explore transitions, composition, and stage polish - and most importantly, put all the pieces together anddance! Each class features technique instruction, drills, and combinations that build towards that day's choreography or improvisation. Class rates: Conditioning: $8, or $5 with Fusion Belly Dance Fusion Belly Dance: $15 drop-in, $65 for 5-class card (save $2 per class!) Drop ins are cash only. 5-class cards are good for three months from the date of purchase and are available for cash or check at the studio.
